FREE HANDYMAN WORK IN BAYTOWN
No quote. No invoice. I'm building this thing one job at a time, and right now the work is free. If it was worth something to you, you can chip in whatever feels right. If you can't, the job still gets done, and gets done right.
HOW THIS WORKS
Tell me what's broken Text me a photo and your zip code. I'll tell you straight away whether it's something I can take on.
I show up and fix it You get a real arrival window, not "sometime Tuesday." I'll text before I head over.
Pay what it was worth Or don't. There's no invoice, no card on file, and nobody following up asking where the money went.
WHY WOULD ANYBODY DO THIS?
Fair question. I've spent fifteen years working with my hands, and I'm starting a handyman business from zero — no customers, no reviews, no reputation yet.
I could spend that money on ads. I'd rather spend it on your kitchen. You get the work done, I get the experience and the photos, and if it was worth something to you, you decide what that's worth. That's the whole deal.
What I Fix / What I Don't
WHAT I TAKE ON
TV mounting and wire hiding
Drywall patching and texture
Shelving and closet systems
Furniture assembly
Doors that stick, sag, or won't latch
Baseboards and trim
Cabinet hardware
Caulking and sealing
Paint touch-up
General honey-do lists
WHAT I DON'T (YET)
Roof work
Electrical panels or new circuits
Gas lines
Anything needing a permit
Repipes and water heaters
Anything above one story
If it's on the right, I'll tell you and point you to somebody licensed. I'd rather lose the job than guess on yours.
The Promise
I show up when I said I would. If I'm running late, you hear it from me before you have to ask.
I tell you what I can't do. Some jobs need a licensed electrician or plumber, and I'll say so instead of winging it on your house.
You look at the work before I pack up. If it's not right, I fix it while I'm still standing there.
Who You're Letting In Your House
Who You're Letting In Your House
I'm Matthew. I live here in Baytown, and I named this after my grandfather.
Timmy raised me. Everything I know about fixing things I learned standing next to him — mostly by doing it twice, because he'd hand it back to me if it wasn't right the first time.
I've spent fifteen years since in the trades, crane operator by certification, on jobs where getting it wrong isn't an option. Same rule, bigger equipment. This is me starting something of my own, under his name.

Yes. No quote, no invoice, no minimum. You cover materials if the job needs them. If you want to give something afterward you can, and if you don't, nothing happens.
-
I ask to take before-and-after photos. That's it. If you'd rather I didn't photograph your place, say so and I'll still do the job.
-
No, and there's no set amount. Some people hand me cash, some send something later, some don't. All three are fine and none of it changes how I do the work.
-
I'm named after my grandfather, Timmy. He raised me and taught me everything I know about fixing things, and he never once handed anybody a bill for helping them. I'm building this the way he'd have done it — do the work, do it right, let people decide what it was worth.
-
Not yet, and I'd rather tell you that up front than have you find out later. It's exactly why I stick to small interior jobs and stay off roofs and ladders. Once this is running properly, coverage is the first thing I buy.
-
Small interior repairs — doors that stick or won't latch, drywall patches, cabinet and drawer hardware, shelving, blinds and curtain rods, mounting TVs and mirrors, caulking, towel bars, door hardware, minor trim. If you're not sure, just text me a photo and I'll tell you.
-
Anything licensed — electrical, plumbing, gas, HVAC. Nothing above one story, nothing on a roof. No full-room drywall or painting. If it's outside what I do, I'll say so the same day and point you toward somebody who does it right.
